Configuring Netsapiens Mobile App (Android)

This article provides information on how to configure your Netsapiens mobile app. It has step-by-step instructions as well as information on how to find your login credentials.

Negating the need for a Desktop softphone or a physical phone, the Netsapiens mobile application (SNAP Mobile) can be used instead and is compatible with Xima CCaaS.

In order to see the calling party information, one must be signed into the CCAC (Contact Center Agent Client) on Xima CCaaS software. Due to how we configure the software, i.e., utilizing a UC extension to route calls, the mobile app itself will show that internal extension of what you’ve configured for this purpose. It will not show which Contact Center group the call is a part of, nor the other calling party information. You must utilize the CCAC to see that information and add in account codes, notes, and everything else. You will be 100% limited to being able to answer the call via the mobile app if you aren’t signed into CCAC on your desktop.

With all of that said, if you still wish to utilize the Netsapiens mobile application, please follow these steps to download, set up, and configure. The following steps will show you how to configure your Android device to allow for this functionality.

  1. Download and install the SNAPmobile app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Log in to the app by entering your Host/ID, Login Name, and Password.

Finding Login Information

For your Login Name, enter your extension and your company in the following format: extension@company. Then enter in your password. Your password will be set by you after your installation technician has sent you the welcome email for the phone system.

If you don’t know what your “Host/ID” is, you can look under your Netsapiens User Profile by going to the portal with your login credentials and clicking on the SNAPmobile button.

Once you've done that, you will be able to view your Host/ID under the Login Info section.

Some resellers don’t provide this type of information to you or have this option available. If that is the case, you will need to reach out to your Netsapiens provider. Most Netsapiens providers have “white labeled” the platform and even have their own “white labeled” app that has the same functionality but under a different name on the Google PlayStore.

Once you have entered your Login Name, Password, and Host/ID information correctly, the app will reach out to the platform and get you registered.

On the platform, it will look something like this image below. Note the green arrow icon.

Forgot Login Name and/or Password

If you forgot or don't know your login name, click the “Forgot Login?” option on the SNAPmobile login page. Enter the requested information to get access to your login name. If you don't know that info, contact your Netsapiens provider.

If you forgot your password, a similar process is required. Click the “Forgot Password?” option on your SNAPmobile login page. Enter the required information to get a password reset link sent to you. If you don’t know the information, please contact your Netsapiens provider.

Once you have all of this information correctly entered, the app will reach out to the platform and get you registered.
