SNAPmobile
Installs and uses SNAPmobile — NetSapiens' native softphone for iOS, Android, and the browser — to place and receive calls, check voicemail, and message from a NetSapiens extension without a desk phone.
SNAPmobile is the NetSapiens platform's native softphone, available either as a smartphone app on iOS and Android or as a browser-based WebPhone that can also be installed as a desktop app.
Key features:
- Native NetSapiens softphone
- Browser-based WebPhone
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- SMS messaging
- Call history
- Voicemail access
- Answering rules — see Forwarding Rule for Failover for one common use of Answering Rules
- Device transfer
- Self-service access through the User Portal
CCAC Still RequiredSNAPmobile only shows the internal extension a call arrives on — it does not display the calling party's information or the skill the call routed through. The Contact Center Agent Client (CCAC) is still required for full call context, and is the only way to answer a Contact Center call with that context available.
Requirements
On the Smartphone
| Requirement | Description |
|---|---|
| iPhone | Requires iOS 17.0 or later |
| Android | Requires Android 10 or later |
| Active Account | An active NetSapiens user account |
On the Browser
| Requirement | Description |
|---|---|
| Supported Browsers | Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari — the latest updated version of any is recommended |
| Permissions | Microphone and audio access must be allowed when prompted by the browser |
| Active Account | An active NetSapiens user account |
Installing the WebPhone as a Desktop App Requires ChromeThe WebPhone itself runs in any supported browser, but installing it as a standalone desktop app (see below) is a Chrome-specific feature.
Installing on a Smartphone (iOS and Android)
- Download and install the SNAPmobile app from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS)
- Log in using the following:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Host/ID | Found under the extension's NetSapiens User Profile, by selecting the SNAPmobile button and viewing the Login Info section |
| Login Name | The extension in extension@company format |
| Password | Set after the installation technician's welcome email; recoverable via Forgot Password? on the login page if unknown |
iOS Follows the Same StepsThese steps were captured on Android. The iOS app is expected to follow the same installation and login process; if a step diverges on iOS, this page should be updated accordingly.
White-Labeled AppsSome NetSapiens resellers white-label the platform and publish their own version of this app under a different name on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, rather than making Host/ID and login details available for the standard SNAPmobile app.
The NetSapiens partner/reseller/vendor responsible for the deployment can be contacted if this information isn't available, providing users with download links and sign-in credentials.
A registered device displays a green arrow icon on the platform.
Installing the WebPhone on Windows
Installing the WebPhone as a standalone desktop app requires Google Chrome.
- From Chrome, log in to the account's web portal

| Mute | Silences the agent's side of the call |
| Hold | Places the caller on hold, playing hold music if configured |
| Transfer | Transfers the call to a dialed number or a selected contact, as either a blind or attended transfer |
Checking Voicemail
Selecting the voicemail icon lists messages, sortable by new, saved, or trash from the dropdown next to Voicemail. Selecting a message shows options to:
- Listen to the voicemail
- Call back the caller
- Save the voicemail
- Forward the voicemail to another extension
- View the voicemail and caller information
- Delete the voicemail
Forgot Login Name or Password
The Forgot Login? and Forgot Password? links on the SNAPmobile login page recover this information when known details are entered. If the requested information isn't available either, the NetSapiens provider responsible for the deployment can help recover it.
