The Recording Storage menu is the central control for managing how recordings are stored within CCaaS. This includes monitoring usage against the purchased storage limit, configuring automatic deletion of older recordings, receiving email alerts when capacity thresholds are approached, and requesting UCaaS-captured recordings into the CCaaS long-term cloud storage.

Accessing Recording Storage

Recording Storage is accessible to accounts with Supervisor or Admin permissions.

1. Navigate to Admin (System) > Recording Storage
2. Recording storage and recording settings can be viewed and managed from this page

Storage Capacity

The menu displays the current amount of storage used alongside the purchased storage capacity limit. This provides a real-time view of how much space is available before recordings must be deleted or storage expanded.

Retention Policy

A retention policy can be configured to automatically displace recordings older than a specified duration — set in either Days or Months. This helps manage storage growth without manual intervention.

UCaaS Recording Storage

UCaaS phone systems can capture call recordings independently, but storage on the UCaaS platform is often limited in duration and may incur additional costs for long-term retention.

Enabling Enable UC Storage Recording polls UCaaS-captured recordings into the CCaaS cloud storage, applying the same retention and capacity rules configured.

Storage Capacity Alerts

Email notifications can be enabled to alert administrators when storage usage reaches a defined percentage of the total capacity. Once the threshold is crossed, notification emails are sent daily until the storage level is resolved.
