Target Platform

Connects CCaaS to a 3CX platform by entering its SIP server details and manually loading its platform users.

3CX has no API for CCaaS to query automatically, so Target Platform configuration is entered directly: SIP server connection details are typed in by hand, and platform users are added one at a time or imported from a 3CX export. This must be completed before any SIP extensions can be registered — see SIP Extensions.

Accessing Target Platform

Target Platform is accessible to accounts with Admin permissions.

  1. Navigate to Admin (System) > Target Platform Configuration
  2. The 3CX Platform Settings window is displayed

Configuring the 3CX Platform Settings

  1. Complete the following fields:
FieldDescription

  1. Select Save
  2. Select OK to confirm the changes

Adding Platform Users

Since 3CX has no API to pull users automatically, platform users are added manually or imported from a 3CX export.

  1. Select Manage Platform Users
  2. Select + to add a user, then enter the name and extension exactly as they appear in 3CX

To add multiple users at once instead:

  1. In the 3CX portal, navigate to Extensions > Export to export the user list

  2. Select Import Users, then select the exported file

  3. Select Done

  4. Select Save

  5. Select OK to confirm the changes
