Mobile VoIP App

Configures the 3CX mobile app for iOS or Android so a Contact Center agent can place and receive calls from a mobile device.

The 3CX mobile app can be used in place of a desktop softphone or physical phone for a Contact Center agent's device, on either iOS or Android.

⚠️

CCAC Still Required

The mobile app displays only the internal 3CX extension for a Contact Center call — not the skill, caller information, or account codes. An agent must be signed into the Contact Center Agent Client (CCAC) to see the call details; without CCAC open, the agent cannot answer the call from the mobile app.

Installing the App

  1. Install the app from the platform's app store:
PlatformSource
iOSSearch the App Store for 3CX, or use this link
AndroidSearch the Google Play Store for 3CX, or use this link
  1. Open the app, accept the license agreement, and grant the camera and microphone permissions it requests

Configuring the Extension

The extension is configured by scanning a QR code from the 3CX Web Client.

  1. Open the In-Browser Web App and select the QR code icon in the top right corner
  2. On the mobile device, open the app's QR scanner and scan the code
  3. Grant the additional permissions the app requests
  4. On Android, follow the battery optimization prompts so the app continues to receive calls reliably

Once scanned, the app downloads the extension's settings, runs a provision test, and the extension is ready for calls.

No QR Code Available

If a QR code isn't accessible, extension credentials can also be entered manually — see the 3CX iOS or Android user manual for the manual entry steps.
